Schedule for single products (free plan)

IMPORTANT: publishing a product will also set its state to active, even if it's currently set to draft. It won't however set it to active if it is set to archived.

This functionality is available on all our plans. If you have the unlimited plan and would like to set a schedule for multiple products, please see our guide on setting a schedule.

This screen can be found on the Products tab of the app:

These schedules are each associated with one single product. You can only schedule publishing/unpublishing, not price changes.

Single product schedules are completely separate from the Schedules section. For example, if you have a schedule set for a collection containing a product from the screen above, the schedule will not be shown here.

This main dashboard screen lists all the products in your store, summarising the details of any schedules you may have set for them. 

You may search for a product using the search bar at the top. You can navigate between pages using the pagination buttons at the bottom of the screen.

To schedule a product, simply click the "Edit schedule" button next to the product you wish to edit the schedule for. 

This is what the scheduler looks like. For your convenience it also shows the current published status of the product and the next 10 scheduled events:

Setting the publish date and time

To set a date and time to publish, you must first check the checkbox next to “Publish at” to confirm you wish to set a publish date and time.

Next, you can select a date from the date field. Please note that the format for dates is YYYY/MM/DD.

Finally, select a time from the time field. The format for time is HH:MM.

If you wish to make a manual adjustment to either the date or time fields, then you are free to do so.

Please note that if you are only selecting a date and time to publish a product, and not to unpublish, then you will not be able to select a “repeating” option.

Setting a removal date and time

To set a removal date and time, you must first check the checkbox next to “Unpublish at” to confirm you wish to set an unpublish date and.

Next, you can select a date from the date field. Please note that the format for dates is YYYY/MM/DD.

Select a time from the time field. The format for time is HH:MM.

Next, you will need to select whether you are removing the product(s) from online store sales channel or completely deleting it.

The difference between these two options is as follows:

  • Remove from online store sales channel - this is the most commonly used option. At the date and time you specify, the product(s) will be removed from the online store sales channel. However, the product(s) will still remain in Shopify but your customers will simply not be able to purchase it. With this option, you can still bring the product(s) back in the future if you wish. Please note, the product(s) will remain for sale on Facebook, buy now button or any other sales channel.
  • Delete - at the date and time you specify, the product(s) will be completely deleted from Shopify. You will not be able to bring them back once it has been deleted.

If you select to delete a product, you will be presented with a popup asking if you are sure you want to delete it.

Please note that if you are only selecting a date and time to unpublish a product, and not to publish, then you will not be able to select a “repeating” option.
