Excluding Products from a Schedule
Sometimes the easiest way to describe a schedule is "everything in X, except…". The Exclude products section handles the except.
Plan note: excluding products is available on Pro and Plus.
How it works
- Set up your main product selection as usual — a collection, tag, vendor or product list.
- Open the Exclude products section beneath it.
- Choose what to exclude under Exclude by — specific products, collections, tags or vendors — and make your selection.

When the schedule runs, the main selection is resolved first, then anything matching your exclusions is removed from the list before any changes are made.
Examples
- Discount the Summer collection, except clearance items: include collection "Summer", exclude tag "clearance".
- Unpublish everything from a vendor except bestsellers: include vendor, exclude the handful of products to keep.
- Sale on all "outdoor" tagged products except a collaborator's range: include tag "outdoor", exclude that vendor.
Good to know
- Exclusions are resolved when the schedule runs — so with live collections, both the include and exclude lists reflect the state at run time.
- An excluded product is completely untouched: no price change, no tags, no visibility change.
