Deleting Products on a Schedule

A delete schedule permanently deletes the selected products from your store at the scheduled time.

⚠️ This cannot be undone. Deleted products are gone from Shopify — Auto Schedule cannot restore them, and neither can Shopify support in most cases. If you just want products off your storefront for a while, use a publish/unpublish schedule or an online store sales channel schedule instead.

Setting it up

  1. Click Create schedule and choose Delete products.
  2. Name the schedule and select the products to delete.
  3. Set the date and time.

A few things that are different about delete schedules:

  • No end date — there's nothing to revert.
  • No repeating — a delete schedule runs once.
  • No tag options — tags are for products that still exist afterwards.

When is this useful?

  • Clearing out seasonal or licensed products at a contract end date.
  • Removing limited-run drops after the run sells out or expires.
  • Scheduled catalogue cleanup after a migration.

If you're not 100% sure you'll never need the products again, consider unpublishing or archiving them instead.
